Children's Hearing Associates, Inc. was founded in October 2000 by Dr. Leah Light. Our mission is to enhance hearing, listening and learning skills for children with auditory deficits due to hearing loss and/or Auditory Processing Disorders.

Understanding how a child hears or doesn't hear helps us to offer specific guidance and intervention to help 'retrain' hearing pathways in the brain that are underdeveloped. Because we actually 'hear with our brain,' any distortion in hearing from the ear to the auditory centers in the brain will result in speech-language, sound discrimination, comprehension, auditory memory and attention difficulties that ultimately limit a child's communication and achievement skills at home and in school. Exciting, new advances in brain science are enabling us to realize the enormous capacity for change that our brains possess. Children's Hearing Associates is committed to helping each child develop his or her fullest potential using cutting edge technology and the most advanced sound treatment programs.
